Lake Brantley Girls Lacrosse Team advances to Final Four

Lake Brantley’s girls lacrosse team earned its third straight trip to the state semifinals with an 18-10 victory against Lake Highland Prep in a second-round play-in game Friday night.
Lake Brantley (15-3), ranked second in the Sentinel Super Six, held 10-point leads twice in the second half after building an 8-2 advantage at the half. Despite that, Patriots second-year coach Hanna Hopkins sees more work to be done regarding the team’s draw controls and ground balls.
“Not our best game,” Hopkins said. “But it’s a win, so we’ll take it.”
Lake Brantley 2010 Varsity Team
District 4 & Region 2 Champions
Lake Brantley, which finished second in the state last year, will meet Lake Worth Park Vista at 5 p.m. Friday at West Orange High School for the chance to return to the title game. Park Vista beat Fort Lauderdale Pine Crest 14-12.
Winter Springs will face Vero Beach in the other FHSAA girls lacrosse semifinal game.

Lake Brantley defeats Lake Mary in Second Round
Lake Brantley took on county rival Lake Mary on friday night, fighting it out to get into the final four of the FHSAA Lacrosse state championship. The Lake Brantley Patriots lacrosse team controlled the game, only letting Lake Mary get as close as a 5 goal deficit.
Lake Brantley will advance to the FHSAA lacrosse state semi-final game versus St. Andrews on Friday, April 23rd at 7 p.m. and will take on the winner of Bolles vs Lake Highland Prep.
The Lake Mary Rams Lacrosse Team finishes an impressive season as district 4 champs with a 13-5 record. Congrats to Lake Mary High School on a great season!

Winter Springs Girls Lacrosse Advances to FHSAA Final Four
The Lady Bears Girls Lacrosse team won their second straight and third in four years, District Championship with a decisive 21-11 win over Oviedo. The win avenged a 19-18 overtime loss in the regular season.
The Winter Springs girls lacrosse team defeated Ponte Vedra 19-13 on Friday for this years Regional Championship. The lady bears advance to the final four of the FHSAA lacrosse state semifinal this Friday, April 23rd at noon.

Timber Creek Girls Lacrosse advances to District 6 Finals
The Timber Creek Wolves women’s lacrosse team will advance to the FHSAA district 6 championship to take on Lake Highland Prep. Timber Creek rolled past Boone 17-6 to advance to the finals.

Lake Highland Prep rolled past Winter Park 17-8 to enter the finals versus Timber Creek, which should make for a great championship match up. Game time is this Friday, April 9th at 7 p.m. at Timber Creek High School. More info can be found on the Timber Creek Girls Lacrosse Facebook Fan Page.
Dr. Phillips Girls Lacrosse team advances to District 7 Championship
The Dr. Phillips Women’s Lacrosse team took care of business in the semifinals of the FHSAA District Lacrosse Tournament with a 14-8 victory over Cypress Creek on wednesday night. DP (12-5) was led by Sarah Hamp with a career-high five goals and Krista Dunn scored five and assisted on four more. Nicole Baarman scored twice and added an assist while Katherine Breese and Lizzy Haymaker added solo goals. Serina Harned picked up 14 saves in goal.

Second-seeded Dr. Phillips High School advances to the District 7 Championship game against top-seeded Olympia tonight at home at 7:00 PM.
